Founded in 1979 by the esteemed late General Mohamed Abou Seif, Abou Seif Tours (AST) embarked on a mission to open up the world for Egyptian travelers. Initially specializing in ticketing, visas, and multi-modal transportation, General Abou Seif’s pioneering spirit saw an opportunity to serve a deeply felt need. In the mid-1990s, recognizing the complexities of organizing Hajj and Umrah, he forged vital connections in Saudi Arabia, transforming AST into a beacon for Islamic tourism. This dedication propelled our growth, establishing us as a leading agency for these sacred journeys.
AST’s Management expanded a brand extension of a subsidiary brand “AST Premier” in 2015 for handling Destination Wedding & Events of Egypt’s elite clients having their weddings outside Cairo or Egypt as a new concept to have their dream day a unique one for them and their esteemed guests.
From those foundational steps, AST has flourished. Today, we proudly employ over 200 highly-trained professionals across 10+ branches in Egypt, serving over 50,000 clients annually. Our commitment extends beyond pilgrimages; we manage ticketing and visa services for over 180 tourism companies, a testament to our industry leadership. Mohamed Abou Seif, Abou Seif Tours (AST) is one of Egypt’s most renowned travel management companies. It was established in 1979 fully dedicated to and specializing in ticketing, visas and transportation by air, land and sea to various International locations, helping Egyptians see the world.
General Abou Seif’s passion for serving travelers expanded in the mid 1990’s.
At the time, few agencies could efficiently handle all the details that went into organizing the annual Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages to Saudi Arabia.
Our founder seized this opportunity and began setting footprints in Islamic tourism by establishing connections in Saudi Arabia and offering comprehensive, hassle-free travel solutions to pilgrims.
Shortly after, the company’s client database reached massive new numbers. Rapid growth and high demand led AST to become one of the leading agencies specialized in arranging Hajj and Umrah trips. Soon after, it was handling ticketing and visa services to over 180 tourism companies and branched out over 10 different locations throughout Egypt.
